Justice for Lowell: Protest the UMass Board Meeting
UMass Lowell adjunct faculty have recently gone back to work without health care, without equitable pay, and without a contract. That’s why UMass Lowell adjunct faculty are calling on UMass President Marty Meehan to remember the values he once stood for in Congress.
Join us Wednesday, September 19 on UMass Lowell’s campus at 8:00 am in front of UMass Lowell Inn & Conference Center to tell Marty Meehan it’s time to do his job. Together, we’ll take a stand for fair pay and benefits during the UMass Board Meeting.
Time: Time: 8:00-9:30 AM
Location: In front of UMass Lowell Inn & Conference Center, 50 Warren St. Lowell MA
RSVP HERE.
Marty Meehan, president of the University of Massachusetts, is taking in more than $1 million a year while he raises tuition and pays adjunct faculty – about half of Lowell’s teaching faculty – poverty wages and rigs the system to deny them health insurance and retirement benefits.
Our adjunct faculty have the same qualifications and teach the same classes as adjuncts at other UMass campuses, but are denied equal pay and benefits.
